If it fails, then a lot of files do get copied to the Drobo, and then it hangs, no progress bar, but the profile shows as still running. If I backup an entire logical drive letter e.g.H:,sometimes it works, sometimes it fails.At this point, it seems to be connected to the number of files being copied. I also have seen threads in other places with the same symptoms as I got. They do say that for some people on some devices there have been problems.
Yes, I have a thread at the Syncback forum, but no specific solution so far - just some suggestions. (and if it’s file/folder level, do you have antivirus enabled at the time, and is it a mirror right operation) Or actual file/folder level sorry i didnt understand fully what your process is. (theres a few versions they have, some with free features, others which become unlocked, and others which only work on one of the verisons)Ĭan you let me know some more information on the process you are using, eg what exactly you do when you say “one of the drive backups fails”? (1st replacement worked fine, though i had to buy a complete desktop chassis including fitted psu as a complete pack was around 5 times cheaper then the cost of the psu lol)īack to your topic… just thinking it might be worth asking the syncback makers a forum question/call them etc, in case theres a particular limitation with the flavour of synckback you have been trying. When an old win98 machine packed up on me it took me ages to find a basic 2nd psu replacement for it, and even that didnt fix it.
